portrait

I picked this photo as my favorite because its a portrait of hands and the picture seems kinda sad to me.

Gordon Parks and Langston Hughes

Langston Hughes
6 min.
My favorite was:

Cross
My old man's a white old manAnd my old mother's black. If ever I cursed my white old manI take my curses back.If ever I cursed my black old motherAnd wished she were in hell,I'm sorry for that evil wishAnd now I wish her wellMy old man died in a fine big house. My ma died in a shack.I wonder were I'm going to die,Being neither white nor black?
Gordon Parks
My favorite picture of his was the one he took in 1963 of Ethel Shariff and the black muslims
i Picked this picture as my favorite because i like how the first person in focus and they like make a triangle in back of her and i like how the lighting looks likes its coming from above.

*Favorite*

I picked this one as my favorite because I like her eyes. I think in the picture its like showing sadness in the girls eyes. I also like the lighting because theres a little bit of shadow on the side but not alot. The only thing I don't like is the background of the picture because it doesnt go with the picture.

*Early Magazine Covers have little picture on it for decoration, the picture doesnt really relate to the stuff inside. It also had a title and a table of contents, but it doesnt really have a lot of words to show whats inside the magazine.

*The Poster Cover have a big picture on it with a big title above it. Sometimes it will have little words at the bottom or to the side but not on the subject of the picture.

*Pictures Married to Type has a big picture that relates to the title and cover lines.

*In the Forest of Words theres a picture and it has one cover lines talking about the picture. While the other cover lines are talking about the other stories inside the magazine.
